Well, High Definition that is. When we bought our 5th wheel trailer in 07’ it came with a Sony Monster Box TV that must have weighed 150 pounds. So, back in 2009 while traveling through Montana (the “NO” Sales Tax State), we decided to upgrade to a flat-screen HD television by LG with all the bells and whistles. It has 4 HDMI Slots, usb input & output port, card reader, surround sound, component input & output, bla, bla, bla, I think there might even be a kitchen sink on the rear of it.
Only problem was, our roof top automatic satellite system by MotoSat that we get our high speed Internet and DirecTV with, at the time of purchase, only received Analog TV. So, for 3 years now, we’ve been watching TV without HD and haven’t taken advantage of owning an HD TV. ---But all that changed yesterday.---
A couple of weeks ago, we decided to have a HD DVR & HD Satellite Dish installed here at our home base. Now we know all of you Happy Trails followers out there have been enjoying HD for a long time now and it’s no big deal to you. But to us, this is like a whole new world opened up to us. Miss Carol keeps saying its like 3-D, it looks like you could reach out and touch the people.
We may plan to take the dish part with us when we travel and mount it on a tripod so we can have HD on the road as well.
So, Miss Carol and I are going to keep on getting HIGH, high definition that is. Tonight I’m going to watch the Texas Ranger’s & Oakland Athletics baseball game in HD and I’m going to have my baseball glove on while sitting in my recliner just in case one of those Josh Hamilton or Adrian Beltre screaming home runs comes flying out of the screen at me.
I did the above photo by using Adobe Photoshop Elements program and combining 3 different photos into 3 overlying layers and cropping and editing to come up with the final presentation above.
I will do a follow-up blog demonstrating the procedures I used to accomplish this effect.
