Christmas in Del Rio

We got to Del Rio in time to celebrate Christmas.  We had a Christmas Pot Luck Dinner at the American Campground Diner. Our hosts furnished the Turkey, Roast Beef, and Rolls along with all the amenities while all us guests brought side dishes.  Carol and I took a pan of Dressing and a dish of Green Bean Casserole.  People at this park are extremely friendly and have made us feel very welcomed here.  Dinner started at 1:00 pm.  All the food was delicious and as usual, we ate toooooo much.

After dinner Carol and I went back to the trailer where we sat around and moaned and groaned from being over stuffed.  Carol read on her digital reader while I got caught up on back posting the last few days on the computer.  Later, I watched the Dallas Cowboys give the Phoenix Cardinals a really nice Christmas present: 27 to 26 defeat.  Guess we’ll have to wait until next year to make the play-offs.

Below is a really neat new program I discovered for displaying photos on the blog. It’s called Cooliris Wall and its free.  There are lots of things you can do with it besides this.  You can set it up to display anything on your computer on a saved “Wall”.  You can click on the link in the bottom left corner of its screen to go to the website and test drive it. Really awesome what you can do with this.

Try ours out by sliding the “Blue Button” at the bottom.  You can click on any image to enlarge it in the same screen.

These are pictures of some of the friendly people here at American Campground and RV Park.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and we wish you a Happy New Year.
