Finally, we have our main Air Conditioner replaced. We got up at 6:00am this morning and packed up and hooked up and headed over to Bill’s RV Appliance Repair shop by 7:00am. We stopped along the way to fill up both our truck tank and our auxiliary tank anticipating a “Road Day”.
After 3 weeks and 2 days of waiting, it’s nice to have all our RV problems resolved.
We backed up to the front of the shop at 8:30am and by the time they got all their shipments ready and all their morning deliveries, they started on our a/c around 10:00am.
Since it was only supposed to take about an hour and a half to two hours to swap out, we opted to just sit in their waiting room until they were finished.
By the time he had the new unit on the roof and in place and lowered the old unit to the ground and finished the inside installation it was 11:40am.
So, by 12:00 noon we had all the paper work completed, bill paid, and we were back on the road again. We managed to drive for 4 hours before I had to find an RV park, pull in, get hooked up, so I could watch what was left of the Texas Rangers & Tampa Bay Rays play-off game number 2. By the time I got it on, it was in the 6th inning and all the scoring there was to be was over with. It was 6 to 0 Texas and that is how it ended.
We took the loop around Indianapolis to avoid the traffic. We are at The Woods-n-Water Kampground just south of Columbus, IN. Tomorrow will be another “Road Day” and we’ll be in Kentucky pretty early. We will drive to Bowling Green to take the tour at the National Corvette Museum for a “Road Break”, then back on the road until we’re ready to pull in somewhere for the night. Not sure what our plans are from there.
