Fun in Saint Ignace

We had a fun day yesterday in the small harbor town of St. Ignace. We visited the Marina and looked at all the beautiful boats and the crystal clear water. While we were out walking we discovered that they were having a Musical Festival later that afternoon and a Fireworks Display in the evening.  We decided to come back to the trailer and eat lunch, rest up, then go back later for the festivities. This is a weekly thing on Saturday afternoons between July 4th and Labor Day.

There were all kinds of things going on later in the day. In this photo you can see Para-sailing taking place. We brought our lawn chairs with us and found a shady, grassy knoll to watch all the bands perform and children play. Everyone had brought their dogs with them except us. The whole time we were there, we wished we’d brought Joe & Sophie. We saw several beautiful dogs. One being a 8 week old Siberian Husky that we’ll show you in our latest video.

There was some really good entertainment present. The band in this photo was from Detroit and was really good with Blues & Oldies songs. Well, us being the old fogies that we are, we got too tired before the Fireworks Display and decided to go home at dark.
